We both worked on lighting and composition.  While the penguins were original models, the whale model was a free model by author Debra Ross.  

This composition incorporated the techniques of:

* depth of vision camera lens to blur out the background
* skeleton deformation of the whale
* paint effects (bubbles and spray)
* water/wave effects
