Hi All:

It has been a ling time since we decide to adjust our CSSA mailinglist. People are always talking about their mailboxes being flooded. Take Jan. 13 as an example, we got 14 emails in one day.

Now as a solution and after long time's preparing, our new CSSA BBS forum is now open to the public.

Two ways to visit:

1) From our website www.nwucssa.org

2) Go directly to www.cssabbs.org

Some features:

1) Both English and Chinese are supported. The forum will auto-adjust to your PC's default language setting.

2) File upload and download functions, including direct pictures posting

3) Private message box for each registered user.

4) Online message sending/receiving between users

5) Users can create groups. Inter-group communicating is easy.

Many other features left for you to explore.

We are changing the rules of our CSSA mailing list.

1) All information about selling and buying are expected to be posted in the forum

2) All information about housing are expected to be posted in the forum

3) You are encouraged to use the forum when you have some information to send to the community.

By changing the rules of mailinglist, we aim to maintain a clean mailinglist without spams. People's mailboxes will no longer be flooded. Note that the first two weeks from now on are adaptive period, in which we'll group emails in the mailinglist. We'll keep the titles of the messages in the email and post the content to the forum. After this period, those messages listed above as 1) and 2) are not welcomed to the mailinglist anymore.

Also remember that our website is a compliment to the forum. Information which are important and useful to all people will be shown on the website, like subscribing to the mailinglist, lunch plan, city & univ. resources...

We're always doing and will continue to do our best to serve our community.
