X: You know, in that situation some men find it helpful to
think about baseball statistics.
Y: I prefer to think about Aristotle.

indeed - an upbeat sort of looking forward while realizing the peril sort
of carefree but really not ignoring the situation yet not letting it get
in the way sort of smile, no doubt.

This chapter is not written for people who are not yet sure whether school
is good or bad. It is written for students that realize the way
that compulsory education and grades destroy the natural curiosity so many
children feel ... who realize how the tracking system keeps
the poor people and minorities in our society on the bottom while keeping
the rich and powerful on the top ... who realize the danger of
teaching complete obedience to authority and who are fed up with the racism
and sexism in schools. It is written for students who have
'gone through channels' trying to correct these problems and who are tired
of helplessly waiting while the schools destroy more and more
minds each day. It is written for young people who realize that because
they are trapped in school they don't have a chance to learn what
they need to know to create a free and good life.

I don't know what the future holds for me now; I have no ambitions that burn a hole in my soul, and feel little of those of other people. They are swimmers floating by, kicking slowly.

Or more to the point, what you you say if I suggested there was a
way to get the richness of single-player narrative in an MMG with
no loss of agency?

It was pretty full on. Lots of retired engineers. A sea of Beer

What a sad state of affairs. If only academics and developers could
get together, smoke a doob, and have a love-in or something, everyone
would be a lot better off!
