BIOGRAPHY
I currently work at Google

I completed my Ph.D. in the Intelligent Information Laboratory, EECS Department, Northwestern University. My Ph.D. advisor is professor Larry Birnbaum. Prior to joining Norwestern University, I received BS degree from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research focuses on intelligent information retrieval based on analysis of user context. By analyzing the documents that users are reading, such as news articles, I built systems that can augment a user’s current activity with access to potentially useful information. My research explores techniques in document modeling, text clustering and classification, query formulation and automatic knowledge discovery. I also conducted user studies with my systems to investigate human factors of intelligent information access.
