I am a PhD candidate in computer science at Northwestern University, working in artificial intelligence for educational software. I received my B.S. and M.Eng. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006 and 2007, respectively.
At Northwestern, I work in the Qualitative Reasoning Group and my advisor is Ken Forbus.
CogSketch Design CoachI am researching sketch understanding and qualitative reasoning in order to create intelligent coaching software that can understand and critique sketches of engineering designs. Using the CogSketch platform, I have created a "Design Coach" for Northwestern's Design Thinking and Communication course. ![]() My research is supported by the National Science Foundation's Spatial Intelligence and Learning Center. |
