I am a second year grad student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Northwestern University. I obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad, India in 2004. From 2004-2006, I worked as a software engineer in NCR Teradata and Oracle Corporation in India. I was also briefly involved with a start-up called SpinAxys Technologies.

Update: I moved to Sunnyvale, CA and started working with Riverbed Technology. I am also trying to finish up my Master's thesis.

Research

These days I am working on my Masters thesis, which is on Vulnerability Analysis of Mobile and Wireless Networks. My interests include Networking, Network Security, Cryptographic Protocols and Distributed Systems to name a few. My main focus these days is on the DoS attacks on the security protocols, especially in Mobile and Wireless networks. I work with various protocols and standards like IEEE 802.16 (aka WiMAX), IEEE 802.11 (aka Wi-Fi by some, though not exactly), Mobile IPv4, Mobile IPv6, EAP (especially EAP-AKA and EAP-SIM), SSL, TLS, etc.
