Yan Gao received her B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2000. After that, she studied in the institute of systems engineering in Xi'an Jiaotong University and received a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2003. Before attending in Northwestern, she worked for Schlumberger in Beijing, China from 09/2003 to 06/2004. Since 07/2004, she has been a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with Prof. Alok Choudhary. Her research interests include Data mining, Security and Network measurement and monitoring.
